Archiving & Preservation Policy

International Journal of Management and Social Science (IJMSS) is committed to ensuring the long-term accessibility, integrity, and preservation of all its published content. The journal recognizes the importance of safeguarding scholarly research in management and social sciences for future researchers and adopts the following strategies:

  • Digital Preservation: All published articles are digitally preserved through multiple mechanisms:
    • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): Enables decentralized and distributed archiving among participating libraries.
    • CLOCKSS: Ensures long-term access to content in the event of journal discontinuation or publisher failure.
    • PKP Preservation Network (PN): Utilized through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform to maintain permanent archiving.
  • Institutional Repositories: Authors are encouraged to deposit the final published version of their articles in institutional or subject-specific repositories, with complete citation details and metadata.
  • Self-Archiving Policy: IJMSS supports open access and permits authors to:
    • Archive both pre-print and post-print versions of their manuscripts.
    • Host the publisher’s PDF on personal or institutional websites with appropriate attribution to IJMSS.
  • Metadata and Indexing: All article metadata is carefully maintained and indexed in global academic databases such as Google Scholar to enhance visibility and discoverability.
  • Redundancy and Backup: Regular backups of all journal content—including articles, metadata, and system data—are securely maintained in geographically separate locations to ensure data protection and continuity.
  • In the Event of Discontinuation: If IJMSS ceases publication, all published content will remain freely accessible and permanently archived through trusted preservation systems such as CLOCKSS and LOCKSS.
