Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • For an article with several authors, the first author indicated in the manuscript is assumed to be the head writer or lead researcher. The order of authors and/or the list of authors should be final before submission.
  • Once the article has been submitted to the IMSS journal for publication and the process has begun, you are not allowed to submit it to other journal publications unless you withdraw your submission to the journal and it has been approved by the editorial board. You may send your withdrawal letter to journal@mss.icmssc.com
  • The document to be uploaded should be in a Word document file Format. font size 11.
  • The manuscript is prepared according to the IJMSS author guidelines.
  • Clear and informative title.
  • Full names of all authors with institutional affiliations.
  • Corresponding author is clearly indicated with email and ORCID ID (if available)
  • Title- Font Style- Times New Roman, Bold; Font Size-22; Font Color- Black
  • Author Details- Font Style- Times New Roman; Font Size-11; Font Color- Blue
  • Full names of all authors with institutional affiliations.
  • Structured abstract (maximum 250 words).
  • 3–5 appropriate keywords relevant to the study.
  • Sections include: Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
  • Tables and figures are numbered and properly captioned.
  • Figures are submitted in high resolution (≥300 dpi).
  • Tables are editable and not embedded as images.
  • References formatted according to APA 7th Edition style.
  • All in-text citations have corresponding entries in the reference list.
  • When available, URLs for the references have been provided. DOI, if available, must be included for the journal articles cited in this paper.

The International Journal of Management and Social Science (IJMSS) is dedicated to publishing high-quality, original research in the fields of management, business studies, economics, and social sciences. IJMSS is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published biannually, providing a global platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to share innovative ideas and empirical findings.

Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

1. General Format

Format:
Authors must strictly follow the official IJMSS manuscript template, including font type, font size, margins, line spacing, and overall layout.

Title Page should include:

  • Title of the manuscript

  • Full names of all authors

  • Author affiliations

  • Email addresses

  • Corresponding author details

Abstract:
A concise abstract of 150–300 words summarizing the purpose, methodology, key findings, and conclusions of the study.

Keywords:
Provide 4–6 relevant keywords.

Main Sections:

  • Introduction: Background, problem statement, objectives, and significance of the study

  • Methods / Methodology: Detailed and reproducible description of research design and methods

  • Results: Clear and systematic presentation of findings, supported by tables and figures

  • Discussion: Interpretation of results, implications, limitations, and relevance to existing literature

  • Conclusion: Summary of findings and suggestions for future research

  • References: Follow the citation style prescribed by IJMSS (APA or journal-specified format)

Figures and Tables:

  • Use high-resolution images (JPEG, PNG, or TIFF)

  • Number tables and figures sequentially with clear captions

  • Embed figures and tables within the manuscript; upload separately if required

Manuscript Length:
The article should not exceed 15 pages, including references.


2. Ethical Standards and Plagiarism Policy

Originality Requirement:
Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal.

Plagiarism Screening:
All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin or iThenticate).
The similarity index should generally be below 15%, excluding references.

Citation Practices:
All sources must be properly cited. Direct quotations must be enclosed in quotation marks with appropriate references.

Self-Plagiarism:
Authors must not reuse substantial portions of their previously published work without proper citation or permission.

Consequences of Plagiarism:

  • Immediate rejection of the manuscript

  • Possible blacklisting of authors for future submissions

  • Notification to the author’s institution in severe cases


3. Authorship and Contributions

Authorship Criteria:
Only individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research should be listed as authors.

Acknowledgments:
Funding agencies, technical support, or non-author contributions should be acknowledged separately.

Conflict of Interest:
Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts of interest. If none exist, authors should state that explicitly.


4. Data Availability

Data Availability Statement:
Authors must include a statement indicating where the supporting data can be accessed.

Supplementary Materials:
Additional files such as datasets, appendices, instruments, or multimedia may be submitted as supplementary materials.


5. Submission Process

Submission Method:
Manuscripts must be submitted through the IJMSS online submission system.

Cover Letter:
The cover letter should:

  • Be addressed to the Editor-in-Chief

  • Briefly explain the significance of the manuscript

  • Confirm originality and compliance with ethical standards

File Format:
Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format.


6. Peer Review and Revisions

Peer Review:
All submissions undergo a single-blind or double-blind peer review process.

Revisions:
Authors must respond to reviewers’ comments carefully and submit a revised manuscript along with a detailed response to reviewers.


7. Fees and Open Access

Article Processing Charges (APC):
Authors should check the journal website for applicable submission, publication, or open-access fees.


8. Post-Acceptance Process

Proofreading:
Authors must carefully review the final proof before publication.

Copyright and Licensing:
Authors are required to sign the copyright agreement or choose a Creative Commons license for open-access publication.


Important Note

Manuscripts that do not comply with the above guidelines will be returned to the authors for correction before being considered for peer review by the editorial board.
